Divergency is based on the topic of the body. Looking in the macro of photography and biology, neurons frame a close up face. On the outside, those with neurodivergence are not seen as disabled. Personally, this a misophonia piece, which is a disorder that involves the nervous system being overstimulated by sound. I was able to visualize my anxiety in the self-portrait through neurons and colors. The abstracted colors bring the viewer into the mind, challenging the norms of visualization.
