Seeing through the veil experiments with visualizing inner and outward portraiture. Between both exists a space of truth. Inwardly there is a spiritual identity and outwardly there is a natural identity. In the in between of the world and faith is a powerful testimony to God’s creation. These testimonies were created through many conversations that visualized my friends' faiths as well as my own. All together there are 4 images within each piece, reflecting the complexity of being in the in between. Through experimentation, acrylic as a medium is flexible, but that is not seen on the canvas. By suspending acrylic, it becomes transformed into a versatile medium. When light shines through it colors radiate and give back light in return.

All my life, I have struggled with friendships going sour. But rather than pulling away, I let God reach out to me and show me His goodness and plan. By putting my trust in Him, I have seen extreme personal growth, found life friends, and even my future husband. Even when you think you are broken, God can put the pieces of your heart back together.
— Kuriko
God has transformed my life from unrest to eternal peace. My purpose is in the waiting. Waiting for God to light my dying ember. In between patience and action, I look to God as He heals my past. I have found that there is joy given by God in the waiting, suffering, and unrest.
— Laurel
After years of hungering for something greater, something that satisfies, I am learning how to be filled by Him. I chase after the peace and fulfillment that God provides me by feeding myself with the word of God. I find myself now coming to the table and being filled in His presence.
